Old Moor 2011

Old Moor RSPB reserve, Dearne ValleyA very cold day meant that all the shallow water was frozen - so no waders for us today. However, the sunlight was beautiful and we were rewarded by stunning views of the birds - especially of the seed eating birds on the 'field feeding' area.
The Bramblings (pictured below) and Green Woodpecker were new for the group bringing our total to 131 species.
